Today we celebrated a very special moment at DAN-doors.
After 39 years and 4 months, we said goodbye to Anders, who is now retiring.
A colleague who has done more than just assemble doors—he has brought people together.
Anders started out making window frames and ended up becoming a master at assembling doors. He’s had a hand in many of the doors still standing all over Denmark—often adding a little extra glue and a reinforcement “just to be on the safe side.”
But Anders’ influence extends far beyond production.
He was the person everyone turned to. The one who listened, spoke his mind—and was a cornerstone of the company culture.
From chocolate turtles and the Pork Club to the betting and lottery club and the legendary company bowling nights.
Now I’m looking forward to an active retirement filled with volunteer work, darts, bike rides, exercise, more vacations—and plenty of time with my family. And maybe I’ll even find something to collect in my new apartment.
🎉 The Cake Man was a huge hit—and he was celebrated in style!
👏 Thank you for your hard work, loyalty, and sense of community, Anders.
You’ve made a huge impact on us.
Congratulations on your retirement—and thank you for everything.
