Maintenance

Ongoing maintenance extends the lifespan of your solutions

Your doors and gates are essential to your daily operations. By prioritizing ongoing maintenance, you can extend the lifespan of your door components, resulting in higher reliability and longer lifespan.

For automatic doors, an annual service inspection by an expert is required by law. The same applies to automatic fire door closure systems (ABDL systems), where an annual functional test of the fire door must also be carried out as part of the inspection.

Here are the key points to keep in mind

  • Tightness and movement: Sealing strips, tracks, wheels and bottom guides must be checked and lubricated regularly to ensure the door runs smoothly and closes tightly.

  • Function and safety: Photocells, handles, locks and any built-in wicket doors or emergency exit devices must be function tested. This also applies to heating wires in the frame to keep the door ice-free.

  • Fire sliding doors: Here, special components such as the plumb bob, pull wire and electromagnetic hold must be checked for damage and free movement.

  • Statutory inspections: According to the Danish Working Environment Authority, automatic gates must be inspected at least once a year by an expert.

  • Cleaning and lubrication: Clean the gate with mild detergents and lubricate moving parts and stainless surfaces with acid-free oil.

  • Spare parts: Remember to state the door number when ordering - it's on the door sign.
