Visit from Skanderborg Municipality: A good talk about innovation, tradition and the industry of the future
On Tuesday, May 14, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mayor Frands Fischer and Municipal Director Lars Clement from Skanderborg Municipality. They stopped by DAN-doors to get an insight into our everyday life, our history and what we work for - namely to develop and produce some of the market's most specialized doors and gates for industry and business.
As a company, we really appreciate that the municipality prioritizes meeting local businesses. It adds value - both for the dialog and for the mutual understanding of how we together can contribute to local development, sustainability and job creation.
Tour with a focus on what we are passionate about
Frands Fischer and Lars Clement were shown around by Jesper Aablad (CEO), Per Pedersen (Sales Manager), Kim Jensen (Production Manager) and Kenneth Lundsgaard Hansen (Finance Manager). During the tour, Frands and Lars got some explanations of some of the solutions that are currently in production.
Among other things, Per Pedersen talked about some special doors for Greenland where the opening mechanism is turned upside down to prevent polar bears from opening them with their weight. For us, a door is never just a door - there are always considerations behind why it is produced the way it is, and that's part of what makes our industry exciting.
Per also talked about our work in the healthcare sector, where we work closely with customers to develop solutions for psychiatric wards and hospitals, for example. The solutions must meet high standards of hygiene, safety and function, and there is no room for error. These are very special solutions that are developed for their exact purpose.
Innovation in an industry on the move
Our Production Manager, Kim Jensen, presented our approach to product development, which is an important part of our business. In addition to specialized solutions for psychiatry, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies, we focus on developing solutions that are unique in the market and that make a real difference for our customers. The construction industry is changing and it is our ambition to be at the forefront so that we can always deliver what our customers need - even when requirements change.
Values we stand on - and direction for the future
Before the visit ended, CEO Jesper Aablad talked about our vision and the values that drive our work: uncompromising quality, responsible production and a clear goal to solve tasks in a way that both creates value and builds relationships. It's about balancing tradition and innovation, and it was a pleasure to share our ideas and approach with Frands and Lars and give our perspectives on our shared responsibility and local production of world-class doors.
