Our CEO, Amdi, has turned 50

July 2, 2024

All birthdays invite you to a party, and round birthdays are certainly no exception.

It's no secret that DAN-doorsemployees appreciate any opportunity to eat cake, and four happy cake men on the occasion of DAN-doors's CEO's birthday made Monday July 1 a little more festive.

Amdi has been in DAN-doors since 2013, and over the past decade he has set a visionary direction for DAN-doors' business, solutions and corporate culture. When he started as CEO in 2015, he laid out a long-term strategy for how to DAN-doors could develop into a healthy business and the market's preferred door supplier.

It was – and is – a large and ambitious project that requires an overview, visions and drive, and for Amdi it was important to have a holistic angle on the task; "No company is an island, and if we are to be successful, it is important that we build our business on common sense, employee engagement and innovation," he says.

A healthy economy is the foundation for growth

For Amdi, it was important first and foremost to create a strong financial ballast that made the necessary investments to remain competitive in a time of rapid technological development.

"A healthy economy is crucial for us to continue to develop in line with the rest of the world," he smiles. "We must be prepared to be able to invest and act on the things that are necessary for us to be able to develop and produce door solutions that meet modern requirements. Over the past three years, we have therefore invested in several hyper-advanced machines that raise the bar for what is possible with steel machining, and this opens the doors to take our development to a completely different level."

Trust in employees gives courage and creative spirit

The machines do not do it alone, and for Amdi, it is important to have a workplace where there is room for creativity and creativity, and where all employees feel equal and part of a unified team.

"I believe that a good working environment and happy employees are the key to making DAN-doors to the best version of themselves. By showing trust in our employees and believing that they are doing their best, we create a culture that is driven by professional pride, commitment, and the courage to share ideas and suggestions on how to improve. We see that our employees do their best to deliver solutions that they and we are proud of, and we have several colleagues who move forward in the organization because they get the opportunity to show what they can do and what they are made of. That's one of the things I appreciate the most," says the birthday girl.

The future has also been thought of

Many milestones have been reached, but the wheels of DAN-doors runs at full power, and there are several projects that can soon be ticked off. "We have several projects in development, and we look forward to soon being able to unveil what we have been up to over the past year," says Amdi somewhat cryptically. "I don't want to reveal too much now, but it's definitely something that we have high expectations for – also because we know it's in demand by our customers."
