DAN-doors launches 22 new security doors

We've been working for a long time to get ready, and we are now proud to introduce two new product programs: fire and security doors and security doors.
Increasing demand for security doors
The construction industry is experiencing a significant growth in the need for robust security doors. This is especially true for projects with high demands for both fire protection and burglary protection - and where standard solutions are not always sufficient.
With the new product ranges, we can offer doors that meet high demands for fire safety, burglar resistance, strength and flexibility - even in very large sizes and for specialized applications.
Fire and security doors in one
With the new product range, it has been important for us to give customers the opportunity to choose doors that combine fire protection and burglary protection in one solution. This means you get a door that both prevents flames and smoke from spreading and protects against unwanted access - in short, a solution that creates security.
The new doors are available with either 62 or 100 mm insulation and are designed for environments with high hygiene requirements. That's why they are approved for use in the food, pharmaceutical and medical industries, among others. But the solutions are not limited to industries with traditionally high security levels - they are equally relevant for utilities, manufacturing companies, office buildings and anywhere else where there may be a need to combine fire protection and security.
The program provides the flexibility to choose doors with 30, 60 or 120 minutes of fire resistance - all certified to the EU's highest standard, EI. This can be combined with RC3 or RC4 security certification to match the requirements for both fire and burglary.
security doors with proven resilience
In addition to the combined fire and security doors , we launch a complete range of security doors certified in security classes RC3 and RC4 according to EN 1627.
- RC3 doors are tested to withstand break-in attempts using common hand tools such as screwdrivers, crowbars and small impact tools. They provide a high level of protection where there is a risk of targeted break-in attempts and are suitable for industrial, commercial and public buildings.
- RC4 doors offer an even higher level of security and can withstand intrusion attempts with more powerful tools such as hammers, axes and cordless drills. They are designed for buildings and areas where particularly high demands are placed on securing people, assets and sensitive equipment.
Both classes offer proven safety, longevity and reliability, allowing owners and contractors to choose solutions that precisely match the risk profile of each project.
Flexibility in function and design
It has been important for us to create a flexible product program so that our customers can put together the solution that matches their specific requirements.
The doors are available in a variety of finishes and can be painted in any RAL color to blend naturally with the architecture of the building. This means that architects and builders do not have to compromise between security and aesthetics, as the doors can be customized both technically and visually to support the whole building.
DAN-doors has made it easier
With our new product ranges, we make it easier for customers to find doors that meet both fire and safety requirements - even when the project requires special dimensions. The 22 new solutions are based on the same high quality that DAN-doors is known for internationally, and all are of course certified and labeled according to applicable standards.
For architects and contractors, this means more freedom to choose solutions that match technical requirements, project-specific needs and the ambition to create buildings that are safe and reliable.
Facts about fire classes (EI230| EI260 | EI2120):
E = Integrity (fire tightness). This value indicates that the door prevents the penetration of flames and hot gases for the specified time - 30, 60 or 120 minutes.
I = Insulation (thermal insulation). This means that the door limits the temperature rise on the non-fire side and thus keeps heat out for the specified number of minutes (30, 60 or 120). This protects buildings and the people/materials on the other side of the door from the heat of the fire for the specified period.
An EI rated construction (e.g. EI260) is therefore tested and approved to both stop the fire and delay heat penetration for at least the specified number of minutes, ensuring personal safety and evacuation time.
EI230properties
Ensures that the door prevents fire and smoke from spreading for at least 30 minutes.
Shorter reaction time in case of fire. Suitable for escape routes, common rooms, partition walls.
EI260 properties
Provides up to 60 minutes of effective fire resistance - often used in buildings with high safety requirements.
Suitable for areas with higher fire safety requirements: larger public buildings, industrial use, separation between fire compartments.
EI2120 properties
Provides the highest protection with up to 120 minutes of fire resistance, allowing extra time for evacuation and firefighting.
When extra fire protection is needed - for example in very large or critical areas, tall buildings, warehouse or industrial facilities with high fire risks.
Facts about RC3 and RC4:
RC (Resistance Class) is a European standard (EN 1627) that indicates how resistant a door is to burglary attempts with different types of tools and within a certain period of time.
- RC3: Protects against burglary attempts by an experienced perpetrator using common hand tools such as a crowbar, screwdriver or small hammer. Tested to withstand attempts for up to 5 minutes.
- RC4: Provides a higher level of security and protection against burglary attempts where the perpetrator uses more powerful tools such as an axe, hammer, chisel or cordless drill. Tested to withstand attempts for up to 10 minutes.
A door with RC3 or RC4 certification is tested and approved to withstand physical intrusion attempts for a given period of time, giving time for either the perpetrator to give up or for the attempt to be responded to.
