What is smoke ventilation?
Smoke ventilation is a hatch or door that is placed high in the room or building. The placement utilizes the natural buoyancy of the smoke, allowing it to be directed out of the building, improving evacuation conditions and survival chances.
Where do you use smoke ventilation?
Smoke ventilation can be used anywhere where people are present and where there is an interest in reducing the risk of smoke poisoning in the event of a fire.
Which smoke vent should I use?

Smoke ventilation doors are available for both cold and freezer rooms. Smoke ventilation doors for cold rooms are equipped with heating cables in the frame and door leaf to prevent the door from freezing, and both doors have 150 mm insulation to effectively protect against cold loss.

You can also choose a bottom-hung door or a side-hung door, and which door is best suited depends on the room and building. To get the best solution for your specific needs, we recommend talking to one of our consultants to make sure you've taken all considerations into account.
