Fire curtains

Fire safety in different safety classes
Description

Why choose fire curtains?

DAN-doors' fire curtains range from a certification of 30 minutes to a classification of up to 240 minutes. The fire curtains are certified in EI, EW or E-class respectively.

EI-CLASS FIRE Curtains highest fire safety for all purposes

With fire curtains in EI class you get a solution that meets the most stringent safety requirements. EI curtains consist of 3 or 5 layers of reinforced glass fabric with insulating material and provide the highest Protection against the spread of fire and smoke. EI curtains have effective heat reduction on the opposite side and can therefore be used in conjunction with evacuation routes and protect against damage caused by heat and smoke. The curtains are prepared for external ABA/ABDL signals to automatically lower in the event of a fire. The fire curtain has a discreet design and the guide rails are available in steel or in RAL colors 7035, 9002 or 9010. They can optionally be painted in custom RAL colors to integrate the system into the overall design of the environment in which it is installed.

FIRE Curtains EW-CLASSEN high fire safety in a lightweight construction

EW-class fire curtains rank among the safest on the market and are used to prevent fire spread between buildings, floor sections and fire zones. The curtains are made of 2-layer reinforced glass fabric and are laminated with alufoil, which provides heat reduction on the opposite side and protection against radiant heat. The fire curtains are prepared for external ABA/ABDL signals so that they automatically lower in the event of a fire. The system is available both wall-mounted and niche-mounted and has a lightweight construction for easy installation. The curtains require a minimum of space and can be installed in places with very low installation height, making it suitable for places where height can be a challenge.

FIRE CURTAINS E-CLASS Effective solution to stop the spread of fire

E-class fire curtains are used to prevent the spread of fire between buildings, floors and fire zones. They are particularly suitable for securing areas that do not require personal protection, as the curtains can provide protection for up to 240 minutes, but have no heat reduction on the opposite side. The system is available both wall-mounted and niche-mounted and is easy to install. It requires a minimum of space and can be installed in places with very low installation height, making it suitable for places where height can be a challenge.

SMOKE CURTAINS - Effective solution to prevent the spread of smoke

Smoke curtains D120 are used to control the spread of smoke during a fire to create better escape conditions in the building. The smoke curtains consist of a technologically advanced fire- and resistance-resistant woven fabric, which is mounted in a steel box that is easily integrated into the building structure. The curtains have been tested and certified according to the EU standard EN-12101-1, which approves them to stop and control the spread of smoke and thus improve escape route safety in buildings. The smoke curtains are prepared for external ABA/ABDL signals so they automatically lower in the event of a fire.

FIRE SHUTTER Also approved for food and pharmaceutical industries

This brand jealousy is approved for 60 minutes. The fire shutter has a built-in ABDL control panel and can also be prepared for signals from external ABA systems. This way, the fire shutter automatically shuts down, which protects against further development of the fire. Fire curtains - FAQ

What is a fire curtain?
Fire curtains protect against the spread and development of fire and smoke. They are installed in strategic locations where they stop the fire and (depending on the fire class) create an escape route, thus optimising evacuation conditions and safety.
What do the different fire classes mean?
You can rank the fire classes according to safety.
EI fire curtains represent the absolute highest level of safety, as you can pass very close to the curtain, which is crucial for escape routes.
This is followed by EW curtains, which also have heat reduction on the opposite side, but the curtain itself can get very hot, so a little distance is required when passing.
E-curtains do not have heat reduction on the opposite side, but provide up to four hours of protection, making them an attractive solution for protecting equipment and buildings.
Where to install fire curtains?
Fire curtains require very little space and can be installed virtually anywhere. A few good examples of places where DAN-doors fire curtains help create security are airports, theatres, tunnels, shopping malls and many more.
