Norwegian Kolly takes control of logistics with 12 highly insulated High Speed doors from DAN-doors

Norwegian logistics company Kolly specializes in the distribution of goods to grocery retailers, including Rema 1000, UnoX and 7-eleven. They are busy and have therefore upgraded their warehouse at their head office in Morobro with a new cold room, built and installed by Norwegian contractor Svalinn, who specializes in building cold rooms for the food industry.

The logistics center in Morobro is the hub of Kolly's distribution, and Svalinn chose to equip the new cold room with DAN-doors' highly insulated High Speed doors, which is designed specifically for high traffic cold rooms.  

The doors have a patented slat system that ensures they can withstand temperatures as low as minus 30° Celsius without freezing. For Kolly, this means they can create a smooth workflow with optimal conditions to maintain high efficiency in their busy logistics hall and at the same time minimize costly cold loss - with just one door per opening. This feature is unique, as DAN-doors is the only door manufacturer in the world to produce High Speed doors with such thick insulated slats, and Kolly is pleased to have a solution that both:

The four meter high doors have an opening speed of just 2.5 seconds. In a large cold store at minus 25°C, every opening has a big impact on energy consumption as the cold air flows out and the compressor has to work at high pressure to quickly restore the lost cold. The lightning-fast opening and closing speed helps to minimize operating costs, and Svalinn has now handed over a hyper-modern and highly functional logistics center with a wide range of intelligent and advanced solutions that give Kolly every opportunity to run their business as efficiently, economically and sustainably as possible.
