35th anniversary

24 November 2021

Today it is 35 years since Anders Moosdorf started at DAN-doors as a production worker.

Anders is a well-liked colleague with an easy smile and an admirable meticulousness that makes us confident in sending doors of all kinds and sizes to our customers all over the world.

Anders is our specialist in large doors and sliding doors, but for him every door is special.

"It's not true that no two doors are the same, of course, but you can be surprised at how important even small differences are when we make doors. What will the door be used for and what are the specific requirements? If it's a freezer door, heating cables need to be laid so it doesn't freeze, if it's a swing door, the hinges need to be reinforced so they can withstand years of pushing from both sides, etc. Often we also make doors with special dimensions, which may require reinforcements in the right places so that it can withstand years of use and not 'stick' to the hinges. There may be many other things, but my job is about reading the order closely and making sure that customers get the right door and that they get a high-quality door that can withstand heavy use for many years," he smiles.

When Anders started on 24 November 1986, DAN-doors had just one production hall, but over the years both the premises and the product range have grown. Anders has helped to restructure and redefine processes and workflows so that DAN-doors could keep up with developments, and that's one of the reasons he's stuck with it for so many years: 'I find it exciting when we get involved in the development of new products, and it's a workplace you want to be in for many years because it's a good working environment. It's been 35 years of change in a good way in a company that never stops thinking about improvement. That's probably why I've been here for more than half my life," he concludes with a smile.
