EI

highest fire safety for all purposes

With EI class fire curtains, you get a solution that meets the most stringent safety requirements.
EI curtains consist of 3 or 5 layers of reinforced glass fabric with insulating material and provide the highest level of protection against the spread of fire and smoke. EI curtains have effective heat reduction on the opposite side and can therefore be used for escape routes and to protect against damage caused by heat and smoke.

The curtains are prepared for external ABA/ABDL signals so that it automatically runs down in case of fire.

The fire curtain has a discreet design and the guide rails are normally available in steel or in RAL colours 7035, 9002 or 9010. They can optionally be supplied painted in custom RAL colours to integrate the system into the overall design of the environment in which it is installed.

EW

high fire safety in a lightweight construction

EW class fire curtains rank among the safest on the market and are used to prevent the spread of fire between buildings, floor sections and fire zones. The curtains are made of 2-layer reinforced glass fabric and are laminated with aluminium foil, which provides heat reduction on the opposite side and protection against radiant heat.

The fire curtains are prepared for external ABA/ABDL signals, so that it automatically runs down in case of fire.

The system is available both wall-mounted and niche-mounted and has a lightweight construction that makes it easy to install. The curtains require a minimum of space and can be installed in locations with very low installation heights, making it suitable for locations where height can be a challenge.

E

Effective solution to stop the spread of fire

Class E fire curtains are used to prevent the spread of fire between buildings, floor sections and fire zones.

They are particularly suitable for securing areas that do not require personal protection, as the curtains can provide protection for up to 240 minutes, but do not have heat reduction on the opposite side.

The system is available both wall-mounted and niche-mounted and is easy to install. It requires minimal space and can be installed in locations with very low installation heights, making it suitable for locations where height can be a challenge.

Smokescreen

Effective solution to prevent the spread of smoke

Smoke curtains D120 are used to control the spread of smoke in the event of a fire, thus creating better ventilation conditions in the building.

The smoke curtains consist of a technologically advanced fire- and resistance-resistant woven fabric, which is mounted in a steel box that is easily integrated into the building structure.

The curtains are tested and certified according to the EU standard EN-12101-1, which approves them to stop and control the spread of smoke and thus improve escape route safety in buildings.

The smoke curtains are prepared for external ABA/ABDL signals so that they automatically close in the event of a fire.

Fire shutter

Also approved for food and pharmaceutical industry

This fire shutter is approved for 60 minutes.

The fire blind has a built-in ABDL central and can also be prepared for signal from external ABA systems. In this way, the fire blind automatically shuts down, protecting against further fire development.

The fire shutter consists of guide rails in galvanised steel and a top profile in galvanised steel.

Guide rails and Venetian blind roller can be covered with lacquered steel sheets.

3 quick answers about fire curtains

1) What is a fire curtain?

Fire curtains protect against the spread and development of fire and smoke. They are installed in strategic locations where they stop the fire and (depending on the fire class) create an escape route, thus optimising evacuation conditions and safety.

2) What do the different fire classes mean?

Fire classes can be ranked according to safety.

EI fire curtains represent the absolute highest level of safety, as people can pass right up to the curtain, which is essential for escape routes.

Next come EW curtains, which also have heat reduction on the opposite side, however the curtain itself can get very hot, so it requires a bit of distance when passing.

E-curtains do not have heat reduction on the opposite side, but protect up to four hours, making it an attractive solution for protecting equipment and buildings.

3) Where can fire curtains be installed?

Fire curtains require very little space and can be installed virtually anywhere. A few good examples of places where DAN-doors fire curtains help create security are airports, theatres, tunnels, shopping malls and many more.
